ICC International Fair

April 4, 2009 12-4p.m - Global Village is invited back for a 2nd year for Illinois Central College's International Fair held at the main campus cafeteria. The students of their Social Science 115 club are volunteering to learn more about Fair Trade. As their assignment they will be helping at our booth to familiarize themselves with Fair Trade products and helping to explain Fair Trade to attendees. Public invited.

Bradley University's Earth Day Festival

April 24, 2009 3:30-7:30p.m - Sponsored by Bradley's Student Environmental Action Committee. Held on the Quad musical entertainment featuring Patchouli. Lots of activities. Open to the public.

Earth Day 2009 at Forest Park Nature Center

April 25, 2009 11-4p.m - Global Village will be hosting a table of Fair Trade goods for this event . On display will be environmentally friendly products along with gift items made from recycled materials, all fairly traded. Open to the public.

World Fair Trade Day at Global Village

April 24, 2009 3:30-7:30p.m - We will be celebrating the World's largest Fair Trade coffee break at 3p.m. In addition to our Fair trade items inside the shop, we are displaying musical instruments, Fair Trade clothing & fun activities outside the shop. There will be a drumming circle as well as children's' crafts. Samplings of our Fair Trade coffee and Slave-free chocolates will also be available. Everyone welcome.
